Latin America is entering a new phase of climate commitment driven by emerging regulations, investor pressure, consumer expectations, and international agreements. Mexico, Brazil, Costa Rica, Colombia, and Chile have announced new decarbonization targets that will embolden the public and private sectors to implement accessible and affordable Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions reduction strategies at scale.
Since establishing a formal presence in Latin America in early 2024, GNFZ has supported these multinational efforts by bolstering local leadership and accelerating incremental decarbonization across the region. From our expert advisory team, to partnerships with the Chile Green Building Council and the Peru Green Building Council, to the certifications of Grupo Chufani HQ in Querétaro and LFRV Sociedade de Advogados office in Brazil, GNFZ is setting a new standard for reaching net zero.
Our community is growing rapidly around the world, and the progress we are seeing in Latin America is testament to this. Read the detailed highlights from the region in my latest Dispatches from Decarbonization newsletter — and contact us to learn more about starting your own net zero journey.
— Mahesh Ramanujam, GNFZ President and CEO
