Jesse Rittenhouse is a sustainability strategist and life-cycle assessment specialist with deep expertise in advancing the transition to a net-zero and regenerative built environment.

Jesse serves as Director of Strategy for SOCOTEC, where he leads business development strategy for one of the world’s leading sustainability, testing, inspections, and certification firms. Prior to its acquisition by SOCOTEC in 2023, he served as Vice President of Strategy at the Spinnaker Group, where he helped position the firm at the forefront of carbon accounting and reduction strategies in the Florida market. In this role, he led development of Whole Building Life-Cycle Assessments for projects across a wide range of building types and scales and grew the impact of the sustainability, energy, and commissioning teams.

A LEED AP BD+C, Living Future Accredited professional, and Florida Green Building Coalition (FGBC) Designated Professional, Jesse has worked on dozens of high-performance building projects. His experience includes serving as LEED Project Manager for the first LEED Platinum office building in the City of Coral Gables and the first LEED Platinum orthodontic and dental healthcare facility in the world. He also served as Consulting Project Manager for the design and construction of Miami’s first fully permitted biodiesel production facility.

Jesse is widely recognized for his leadership within Florida’s sustainability community. He has played active roles in organizations including USGBC Miami, the Living Future Florida Collaborative, Dream in Green, and the Net Impact Professional Chapter of South Florida. He is also a member of AIA Miami’s Resilience and Adaptation Committee.

Through his work with GNFZ, Jesse contributes expertise in embodied carbon, life-cycle analysis, and strategies that help scale credible pathways toward net-zero buildings and regenerative communities.
