GNFZ Mumbai Roundtable: Accelerating to Net Zero for Businesses

Let’s face it: The net zero space is crowded and filled with misconceptions and market barriers that often deter even the most engaged and spirited individuals and companies from taking the leap.

However, the Global Network for Zero’s mission is to “put net zero within reach,” and as the world’s premier independent net zero certification body, we are proud to have hosted our first roundtable event in Mumbai at the top of 2024, engaging in a meaningful dialogue with some of the region’s most important leaders about why our incremental acceleration process is proving to be affordable and accessible for a growing landscape of cross-sector partners.

We explored how to establish your own roadmap to net zero acceleration, how the sustainability experts who were present could help you achieve that and how to leverage the experience of companies who are already well on their path to net zero.

The good news is that we recorded this event and are making it available to you, free of charge. Thank you to Oorja Energy Engineering for sponsoring, to our partners, to all of our speakers and to our diverse, cross-sector group of participants.

Reach out to learn more about how you can accelerate your net zero journey, today.

This panel discussion on Accelerating to a Net Zero Future for Businesses was moderated by GNFZ CEO Mahesh Ramanujam. Panelists included:

  • Nitin Bansal, Assistant Vice President of Design, ESG, & Sustainability for Brookfield Properties

  • Swapnil Joshi, Director of Sustainability and Design, and the Head of APAC & India for Infosys

  • Rajat Malhotra, Executive Director at Jones Lang LaSalle

  • Janhavi Para, Deputy General Manager of ESG & Sustainability for Chalet Hotels

This case study, presented by GNFZ Advisor and Chief Human Capital & Sustainabiliy Officer at Shree Ramkrishna Exports Pvt. Ltd., Dr. Nirav Mandir, explores how SRK’s buildings are using GNFZ’s roadmap to reach net zero ahead of previous targets. They have already achieved GNFZ’s Emissions Assessment Certificate and GNFZ’s Net Zero Plan Certificate.

Geetanjali Prasad, Vice President of Marketing and Growth at GNFZ, delivers opening remarks and shares how GNFZ addresses market barriers and misinformation through our incremental certification process, leaving no building or business behind.

Our roundtable proved that when we come together and pull back the curtain on the road ahead, we can see that a little goes a long way, that you can start anywhere and end at zero, and that with the right support system, you can accelerate your net zero journey.
