Héctor Gonzalo Miranda Plaza is a leading sustainability strategist in Latin America, with nearly 20 years of experience advancing the region toward a resilient, regenerative, and zero-carbon future. As the General Manager of Regenerativa, he drives large-scale market transformation by aligning built environment projects with global ESG frameworks and the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Over the course of his career, Héctor has led and supported more than 200 LEED-certified projects, while also delivering highly sought-after education and training to future leaders in green building and sustainability. He was the first GRESB-accredited professional in Peru, enabling real estate portfolios, institutions, and corporations to improve global rankings and unlock the full value of their assets through rigorous ESG integration.
Héctor is the founder and former CEO of the Peru Green Building Council, and has represented the country in prestigious global forums such as APEC, the World Green Building Council (WGBC), and the International Sustainable Campus Network (ISCN). As a regional expert, he has built public-private coalitions that accelerate climate action and innovation across sectors. He also co-led the implementation of LEED Lab, a pioneering interdisciplinary program in Latin America that uses real-world learning to prepare students for green building leadership roles.
Today, Héctor is recognized as a transformational force in ESG and urban decarbonization. As a GNFZ Advisor, he plays a key role in expanding the organization’s certification platform across Latin America by engaging new clients and partners, advising on region-specific strategies, and promoting the adoption of net-zero pathways as a foundation for a regenerative planet.
