Daniela Castro Salgado is a sustainable architectural design and real estate development specialist with extensive experience leading large-scale projects. She is currently a Partner and CEO for Mexico at JWA, a leading environmental consultancy expanding its footprint across Europe, the Middle East, and Latin America. Previously, as Chief Development and Sustainability Officer at Fibra Eco, she defined the company’s ESG strategy and spearheaded building optimization, retrofit, and certification processes.

Daniela’s extensive background includes serving as Associate Director of Design and Engineering at Pulso Inmobiliario and MIRA, where she oversaw landmark developments such as Alai by Zaha Hadid in Cancún and Cuadrante Neuchatel in Mexico City. Earlier in her career, as Design and Sustainability Manager at Edmonds International, she directed the firm-wide sustainability strategy, spearheaded more than 10 building certification processes, and managed notable projects including Park Plaza and three high-end resorts in the Riviera Maya.

Daniela is a LEED AP BD+C and EDGE Expert who actively contributes to global sustainability initiatives as a professor and speaker, with a strong emphasis on decarbonizing the building sector. An honors graduate of both UNAM and The University of Edinburgh, where she earned her MSc in Sustainable Design, she also holds additional postgraduate credentials in sustainable urbanism, ESG, and Net Zero strategies.
