Blake Roberts

ART DIRECTOR

Blake Roberts is an Art Director and visual communicator with a background in brand strategy, design research, and urban studies. At Global Network for Zero he applies his experience to creatively telling the brand story and to helping create a robust community of partnerships whose ultimate goal is carbon neutrality.

Blake has designed with globally recognized organizations like Starbucks and the International Rescue Committee (IRC). Prior to joining GNFZ, he was the designer for the Center for Active Design where he supported both marketing and business development initiatives for the Fitwel healthy building certification system. For the past several years, he has simultaneously been a consultant with the Violence Prevention and Response Unit at the IRC where he helps design research publications, co-facilitates adult learning curriculums, and aids in insight collection processes that inform humanitarian response strategies. His approach to design, research, and brand development is collaborative and always prioritizes building shared understandings — the strongest work is co-created.

Blake is originally from Ohio but has lived all over the United States and he calls the Pacific Northwest home. He holds his BFA from Columbus College of Art & Design and his MA in Theories of Urban Practice from Parsons School of Design Strategies.
